"Not only are they fantastic quality, but they capture the essence of the people, the sport and the landscape of the Highlands and Islands. These are works of art and not just photographs."
Patrick Birkbeck - Managing Director - House of Bruar
Glyn Satterley is one of Scotland's foremost photographers, perhaps best known for his black and white documentary photographs of Highland Sporting Estates, and from the books resulting from this ongoing project. He is also acclaimed for his evocative Scottish Landscapes and quirky Scottish Golf images, some of which were in the recent 'Art of Golf' exhibition in Edinburgh's National Gallery. A long and successful career as an editorial freelance photographer has allowed him to explore the length and breadth of Britain as well as abroad, but he has an ongoing love affair with the Scottish Highlands. Sometimes memorable images come from working situations, sometimes he returns time after time to places, anticipating a picture that might work if the light is right, or if a figure within it works its magic within his frame. These are the ones that excite him most; the ones he hopes others will want to share. His prints are in many private collections, and Scotland's Portrait Gallery now have seventeen in their National Collection.
