These scales used to hang in Lochmore Lodge, when it was home to the Duchess of Westminster. They were used specifically for weighing salmon from the River Laxford caught by Her Grace and guests. Details were entered into the fishing book above the scales. The Queen and the Prince of Wales used to visit for tea occasionally when the Royal Yacht Britannia was passing.
