Brora is a hidden gem - one of my favourite golf courses in the Highlands, and the most natural Links course you could ever play. Old Tom Morris laid out the original 18 holes in 1886 on crofters' common grazing ground, and James Braid upgraded it in1923. Sheep and cattle are still a natural hazard on the course, and can be encountered anywhere apart from the greens which are electrically fenced to keep them off.
